Liam's love for music began when he first heard ELO's "Face the Music" on a pair of really good speakers. While in college; as a drummer, Liam played the New York City club-circuit-The Bitter End, CBGB with various bands. In the 1990's Liam began his career in music magazine publishing, working for SPIN and Entertainment Weekly. Eventually moving to Nashville, Liam worked for 615 Music, a music production company, and played gigs on the weekends at the Honky-Tonks on lower Broadway. From those experiences Liam secured a book publishing deal to write about the inner workings of the music business called "Making the Scene Nashville: How to Live, Network and Succeed in Music City." As an avid WLNG listener Liam continues to be fascinated by the fact that his favorite songs always sound so much better on the radio, and a pair of really good speakers.
