Host "Rock On"
Veteran broadcaster and DJ Bonnie Grice has spent decades spinning tunes and sharing the mic with hundreds of guests & celebs. Two-time Gracie Allen winner Bonnie’s made her mark in Public Radio working at a variety of NPR stations around the country including National Public Radio in DC. And locally as host of the Eclectic Café and “The Song is You” on WPPB for nearly 2 decades. She’s over the MOON excited to join her new radio family at WLNG in her hometown Sag Harbor.
Away from the studio Bonnie’s passions include history and theater. She’s performed in a wide range of local productions: contemporary plays, classics, Shakespeare… She started her own theater company “boots on the ground theater” in 2016 to bring history to life both on the mainstage and reenacting with emphasis on the 19th century. She produced acted and did the costumes for 2 shows in 2018 at the Southampton Cultural Center: “The Miracle Worker” and “The Red Badge of Courage.” She plans a world premiere of an original play in 2020.
In the meantime catch her Saturdays 3-6pm for “ROCK ON” a free form mix of all your favorite classic rock tunes from the 50s to the 80s. Songs, stories, special guests on WLNG the East End’s best music!
