Chris Brinka grew up with radio in his blood, with both of his parents enjoying long and distinguished careers in Long Island news radio. Chris was working at his first radio job in 1997, as a board operator at Love 96.1, when Paul Sidney hired him to work at WLNG. From October in ’97 to December of 1998, he worked at the station full-time on the air as a DJ and board operator, as well as a remote engineer with Paul, Gary and Rusty at dozens of live remotes, and creating the station’s logs in the traffic department. Chris came back to WLNG early in 2017. In addition to working in radio, he has had a long career in live television production/operations for several national cable and sports networks. Chris lives year round in Sag Harbor with his wife and their daughter.
