Ann Buckhout of East Hampton began working for the owner of WLNG in 1976 after her children began their early schooling.  She was originally hired as a bookkeeper for MontaukCarribean Airlines, which he also owned.  She began doing the books for WLNG the following year, and continued with the radio station long after the airline was sold.  She was also a past president of the East Hampton Kiwanis Club involved in the Toys for Tots program, and earned various awards for public service. In 2012 East Hampton Kiwanis Club established a scholarship in her name for a graduating senior.

Ann’s roles at WLNG were Secretary, Treasurer, Executive Vice President, and became President upon the passing of Paul Sidney. Ann passed away in May of 2011.
