Dana Kallio dana@wlng.com Live On Location Remotes & Fill-In Personality Born in the 1950’s, in Northeastern Massachusetts, Dana Kallio traveled extensively for school, college, and a sports-based business career, eventually settling on Long Island in 1983, and the South Fork of Eastern Long Island in 1988. With a life-long interest in radio, Dana first met Paul Sidney during a remote broadcast in Bridgehampton, in 1997, when Paul interviewed him on-air. Having had experience with broadcasting while in school, Paul offered Dana a job, and, well, the rest, as they say, is history. On-Air since 1998, and having covered 1000’s of Live and Local Remotes, including fundraisers, holiday celebrations and parades, new business openings, U.S. Opens, Hampton Classics, Hamptons Film Fests, political events, and Election Night coverage, as well as many years alongside WLNG’s Chuck Mackin broadcasting local high school sports, Dana is proud to be part of the great staff on America’s Original Oldies Station - WLNG. Residing in Hampton Bays, he is a proud father and grandfather. Being a former hockey and football player himself, Dana enjoys all sports. And, as an avid motorsports, F1, and NASCAR fan, travels whenever possible to watch the races. Dana loves everything the East End of Long Island has to offer… From the scenery, beaches, farms and wineries, to the restaurants, events, people... And, of course, WLNG!
