News Anchor/ Talk Show Host "Tell It To LNG" Dan Duprey is responsible for 20 newscasts per week and hosts the "Tell it to LNG" public affairs show, which is a live call-in show featuring local politicians and other guests of interest. The show airs, only when there is a guest, at 1:04pm on weekday afternoons. Most of Dan's time is spent recording and producing commercials for WLNG's many clients. He also gives the tours of the station for scouting groups and other visitors. Dan's professional radio career began at WRKL 910-AM in Pomona, New York from 1979 to 1984. He then moved to Long Island to work at WRHD 1570-AM in Riverhead from 1984 to 1990. He has been with WLNG radio since January of 1990. Before his professional career began, he worked on two New Jersey college radio stations, WBSB 640-AM in Paramus and WFDU 89.1-FM in Teaneck. As an elementary school student, Dan also voiced books for the blind and he was the voice of his high school's morning announcements. Dan and his wife Ann live in Riverhead. They have three grown children, John, Jennifer and William. |
